International Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant (depending on experience)

TBM Consulting Group, Inc., an operations and supply chain consulting firm, is currently hiring an International Accounting Manager to work in their Morrisville, NC office. (This is not a remote position.) This individual will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities & Duties:

This hands-on position supervises and oversees the accounting, payroll and tax functions for TBM foreign locations in United Kingdom, Europe, Mexico, Chile and Asia. The International Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant will supervise three in-country accountants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and manage cash accounts (including cash forecasts for all regions)
  • Review and schedule payables
  • Monitor consulting schedule and review revenue for accuracy
  • Review VAT and payroll taxes for accuracy
  • Review salary schedules, record, and process payments
  • Perform month-end review of all accounts and prepare monthly accounting packet for final review
  • Review and prepare analysis of monthly financial statements
  • Prepare and record transactions between regions/companies
  • Interact with foreign outside accountants and payroll providers
  • Prepare reports and provide support for annual audit
  • Assist with annual budgeting

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for some administrative HR duties including:

  • Employees: Onboarding new employees, arranging background checks and drug tests, processing health plan enrollments, and managing health plan open enrollment
  • Contractors: Preparing contracts for new contractors and annual renewals, processing contractor onboarding forms and other related activities

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience with and increasing levels of duties and responsibilities 
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • International accounting, payroll and tax experience (UK, Europe, Mexico, Chile and China desired). If no hands-on experience in a particular country, candidate must be willing to dedicate time gaining the required knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to independently establish goals to meet objectives
  • Able to multi-task and change directions if required
  • Comfortable dealing with CPAs, auditors, attorneys, and third-party service providers
  • Excellent computer skills: Experience using mid-size accounting software preferably Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Office Software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
